A personal photo workflow.
A tool that copies favorite still photos from its owner's Apple Photos library into an album in the owner's Google Photos account.
What the tool does
The tool reads the local Apple Photos library to identify favorites, exports still-image copies to a local staging folder, and uses rclone to upload new or updated files to Google Photos. Uploads are additive: removing a favorite does not delete its Google Photos copy.
After a run, it emails the owner a summary with uploaded and pending filenames, dates taken, and diagnostic details if a step failed.
Google account access
The Google consent screen identifies the application as sync-google-photos (personal). The owner authorizes the existing Desktop OAuth client to upload media and read or edit media and albums created by this application. The tool does not request permission to read the owner's entire pre-existing Google Photos library.
Google account access is used only for this personal sync. The owner can revoke authorization through their Google Account's third-party connections settings.
Privacy and contact
Read the privacy policy for the data handled by the workflow and the terms of use for its intended use. Contact the owner through the support email displayed on the Google authorization screen.
