Privacy policy
This integration handles its owner's photos for one purpose: copying Apple Photos favorites into the owner's Google Photos account.
Data accessed and used
- Apple Photos: the local library's photo metadata is read to select favorite still photos. Selected images and their edited versions may be exported as separate files.
- Google Photos: authorized API access is used to upload images and read or edit media and albums created by this application. The requested permissions are
photoslibrary.appendonly,photoslibrary.readonly.appcreateddata, andphotoslibrary.edit.appcreateddata. - Status reports: filenames, capture dates, transfer status, and error diagnostics are used to email the owner a run summary. Photo attachments are not included.
Storage and retention
Exported photos, capture metadata, retry lists, and run logs are stored on the owner's computer until the owner removes them. OAuth tokens and SMTP credentials are stored separately in local configuration, not in this website or its source files.
Uploaded photos remain in Google Photos until the owner removes them. Unfavoriting a photo in Apple Photos does not remove the uploaded copy. Email reports remain subject to the owner's mailbox retention and deletion settings.
Sharing and third parties
Photos and the metadata needed for upload are sent to Google Photos. Status reports pass through the owner's configured SMTP relay and email provider. This workflow does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
The integration's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
